TRANSMUTED International Performance Art Network

TRANSMUTED International Performance Art Network was founded in Mexico City in 2010. It is an artist-run international platform of development, production, exchange, management and support of performance art directed by Martin Rentería. It is further integrated by independent artists, curators, festivals and organizations in the Americas, Asia and Europe.

The network focuses on the organisation of live art events and artist exchange programs of international artists in Mexico and abroad, among which: Promptus/Transmuted at Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Mexico City and Sao Paulo (2014); Utopia at Museo Universitario del Chopo, Mexico City (2013); Transmuted Festival at Acapulco Cultural Centre, Acapulco (2012), Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Mexico City (2011) and CANTE Centro de las Artes, San Luis Potosi (2010); 10th Open Festival, 798 Art Zone, Beijing (2009).

At the VENICE INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE ART WEEK 2014, TRANSMUTED Network curates and present live performances by the Mexican artists Norma Flores, Melissa García AguirreLa Pocha Nostra and Martin Rentería.
